Rachael
Solo Strings / Harpist
- Manchester
Biography
The harp adds a beautiful and utterly unique aesthetic to any occasion, and Rachael and her harp will elevate your big day to the kind of levels you will have dreamed of.
Rachael started playing this most beguiling of instruments at the age of five, and since then has studied music under the tutelage of world-class harpists, before spending the last decade playing professionally all over the UK and beyond.
She appeared on Guy Garvey’s 2015 solo record Courting the Squall, as well as Corinne Bailey Rae’s lush The Heart Speaks in Whispers. She's also recorded and appeared with artists as diverse as Gilles Peterson, Susan Boyle and Jimmy Osmond.
Rachael will help you create your own soundtrack to your big day, working with you to put together a bespoke set. Her repertoire is considerable (see below), spanning classical, trad-folk, country, indie, pop, jazz, Latino, original music, and tons more! If there is a song you love that isn’t in her regular set, Rachael says: "Nearly any tune is possible - just ask!"
