Graeme Park
Club Legends
Biography
Graeme’s talents and his record collection have taken him to gigs across the globe and given him the opportunity to produce and remix artists such as Inner City, The Brand New Heavies and New Order.
It was an eight year residency at the Hacienda that really put Parky on the map. As house music travelled from its Chicago home to the UK, the Hacienda came to embrace this new sound. Graeme was synonymous with the hallowed Manchester venue during its peak years; his name featuring alongside artists who performed in the Hacienda such as Grandmaster Flash, The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Madonna on a giant art installation on the site of the former club.
While Graeme Park made his name DJing to the packed dancefloors of the original superclubs, he made many more fans from his radio shows on the likes of Kiss FM and Key 103. Parky became a must-listen for fans of real house and garage, with two Radio One Essential Mixes spreading his musical gospel even further.
30 years on from his DJing debut, Graeme Park continues to rock some of the coolest venues in dance music. He delights in mixing up dance classics with the latest electronic sounds, taking audiences on a journey through early club culture, through the house music explosion and onto today’s genre-busting sounds.
