Biography

Candela are an authentic Latin band with a wickedly vibrant energy that instantly transports you to sunnier climes, soaking your big day in the brightest of sunshine vibes.

Making the crowd dance is their mission, and interacting with the audience comes effortlessly to their lead singer and bassist. They perform a wide variety of rhythms and styles, such as Salsa, Psychedelic Cumbia, Afro-Beat, Calypso, Reggae, Samba, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Bolero and pop - among others!

The twist in this particular tale is they also play British and American pop bangers with a vivid Latin twist. Covering the likes of Gorillaz, Anderson Paak, Stevie Wonder, The Specials, Bill Withers, Chaka Khan, Daft Punk and a whole heap more, Candela go seriously hard and have the chops and the variety to please everyone in the room, no matter their age.

Regulars at venues such as Revolucion de Cuba, Alma de Cuba and Band on the Wall, Candela are cast-iron certainties to get your party started and popping off until the sun begins to rise - should you be so inclined!

WOW! What can I say, if you want a band to get the party started then this is the band to have! We booked Candela for our wedding last month and our dance floor was constantly full! We had so many compliments from guests and everyone had so much fun. Would thoroughly recommend and they are my go to band for any special occasion in the future!
