Biography
Avalon are an energetic, fun quartet - guaranteed to get their audiences feeling groovy and in the mood to get on their dancing shoes!
The band's repertoire covers classics from chart-topping artists such as the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, George Michael, Dua Lipa, Cher, Blondie, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes – enough to appeal to guests of all generations and ages.
Avalon consists of both female and male lead vocals, and feature confident 3 part male/female harmonies as part of their sound.
Each member of this fun, high-energy band have been involved in various professional musical projects since beginning their passion for playing music at a young age, eg. Michael Head and The Red Elastic Band, Bright Town, Rianne Downey and Charlotte Newman.
This has taken the various members on various tours of UK, Europe and USA, as well as playing well known festivals such as Glastonbury and The Isle of Wight festival, and even resulted in a top 10 album in the charts!
Avalon can also offer an intimate acoustic set (eg for afternoon drinks reception as part of a wedding or dinners). This laid back set can be as a 4 piece, trio or a duo, playing either laid back acoustic classics or upbeat singalong favourites to suit the occasion.
