Biography

Whether you're looking for dimly-lit background jazz for a wedding breakfast, something a little more upbeat for a drinks reception, or to get people up and dancing, After Hours Jazz Collective are serious players, and supremely versatile with the chops to suit any vibe.

All band members are alumni of prestigious Conservatoires, from Trinity Laban, Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Academy of Music. Boasting over 15 years of experience as professional musicians, they've played over a thousand gigs at world famous jazz clubs and festivals - including appearances at the likes of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Glastonbury, and the Roundhouse in Camden. These cats know exactly what they're doing.

With a repertoire of over 300 songs, from jazz luminaries such as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and others, they'll keep the vibes going for as long as you like, and can also take requests from a wide range of genres, prior to their performance.

Available as a quartet, trio or duo depending on space and budget, they are also able to include a vocalist if required.

Reviews

After Hours played at our Golden Wedding. It was a true delight. The choice of music was perfect for our celebration allowing us to chat to our guests whilst providing the perfect background. They chose pieces that were brilliant for the occasion allowing all the generations present to enjoy the evening. There were 3 sets which allowed time for a buffet break and then a short speech and toast. It was a truly very special and memorable evening.

After Hours sound as though you'd just stepped into a New York Jazz Club in the 50s. Dressed impeccably, arrived and set up with no fuss, and delivered a performance which created a beautifully warm atmosphere for our guests.
