Let's start at the beginning. What was the first record - single or album - you bought with your own money? HONESTLY!

First album I have ever bought was The Best Girl Power Album Ever, compilation of girl power songs picked by Spice Girls. Still love many of the tracks from that album!

How did you get into DJing?

Fun fact about me is that I am actually a qualified accountant, but have dipped my toes in organising events and djing long before starting University. Music has always been a big part of my life and after giving a 'proper job' a go for few years I have never really felt like that is somewhere I belong and 5 years ago decided to switch to full time career within the music industry.

What for you are the key cornerstones of a great DJ set?

Main one is definitely the musical journey I take the crowd on with me. I like the night to flow rather than selecting top wedding hits and playing them at random times. I always take the time to prepare and organise my music depending on couples' taste and what they want their night to flow like.

What 3 records are impossible for you to leave out of any DJ set?

Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancing

Tina Turner - Proud Mary

Robbie Williams - Rock DJ

Tell us about a favourite DJing experience of yours...!

My favourite DJing experience has to be my residency at Vicky McClure's DAY FEVER. Travelling up and down the country, spinning the tunes and hyping up the daytime party goers.

Pitbull - Fireball

Do you think DJing a wedding differs in any way from a regular DJ set - and if so, how? - or do the core principles remain the same?

Absolutely. The audience often varies from 0 to 100 years of age and trying to get all these different age groups, who often have totally different musical tastes, up and dancing can be challenging. I also do believe that when it comes to weddings song selection is definitely more important than perfect mixing/transitions.

What's the most unusual or memorable first dance record you've ever played?

Avicii - Levels. The confetti cannons went off and the party got started right after the first dance. It was amazing.

Do you have any big DJing no-no's?

Playing the same tune twice on the night is most defiitely a big NO for me. Also playing songs by the same artist one after the other is a no for me.

Fundamentally, what can a couple expect from you as their wedding DJ?

I don't just play tunes, I love being involved in the party! Expect dance moves and glittery outfits. I absolutelty love being a part of such a special day.
