Ellen
Soul, Funk & Motown / Pop / Acoustic
- North West

- Willing to travel abroad
Biography
Vocalist and guitarist Ellen distills a broad range of influences - such as John Mayer, Joni Mitchell. Emmy Lou Harris, Lianne La Havas, Kate Bush and Fleetwood Mac - into a kind of soulful, folk and country-tinged sound with a clear pop sensibility.
Ellen's first break came in the shape of a 2016 live session for the much-coveted BBC Introducing. After over 5 years' subsequent touring and performing around the UK - as well as an extended stint in the Middle East - Ellen dropped her debut single Sandcastles in the summer of 2020 to great acclaim. And in December of the same year, Ellen appeared as a guest vocalist on Roy Knox's clattering club banger Waterfall, which has already racked up a cool 1.4m views on YouTube. Something tells us her star is in the ascendency!
Ellen's presence, coupled with her frankly enormous and wide-ranging repertoire, makes for a crowd-pleasing certainty - guaranteed to light up your wedding reception.
